Over the past few months, as part of a Welsh government initiative, we've been reporting on the activity that goes on behind the scenes within our practice.
When you contact your GP surgery (either in person, by phone or via digital means), we fully appreciate that, most of the time, you just want to be able to get your prescription or book an appointment to see a doctor or nurse. Sometimes your enquiry can be dealt with quickly... but at other times it can feel like we take an age to respond.
We are so grateful that our patients are... ahem, patient (!) with us, because our surgery (like all surgeries) are incredibly busy. But what does 'busy' actually look like in practice?
We've published some 'infographics' on our website that looks to put some numbers on the activity that goes on behind the scenes. Although challenging to quantify, these infographics give a reasonable representation of 'a month in the life of' the surgery.
We know we don't get everything right all of the time. We always appreciate feedback from patients (both good and the bad). But we trust this information might be of contextual interest as we strive to offer quality primary care to all our patients.
